Movie: The Public Enemy (1931) (@The Strand Theatre)

View a Depression-era movie at The Strand Theatre at 7:30 pm Thursday, June 20. “The Public Enemy” is a Prohibition-era story of gangsters fictionalized from firsthand accounts of Al Capone’s reign of terror in Chicago. The film launched the careers of James Cagney and Jean Harlow. Cagney's iconic portrayal of Tom Powers landed the character on AFI’s list of America’s greatest screen villains.
