Temperance Quack appears at the Community Treasures Series ‘ Conversations on Local History on Wed. August 7 at The Strand Theatre. Temperance, also known as Donna Dennison, Genealogy & History Department Head at the Shelby County Public Library, brings her Old-Time Medicine Show for modern audiences’ appreciation. She will regale the crowd with how pioneer women in the late 1800s and early 1900s in this area healed their families.

Donna Dennison will speak about the Infamous of Shelby County, highlighting notorious county residents during the Roaring ‘20s! This is the second time Dennison, Genealogy & History department head, has presented for the Community Treasures Series. Dennison will regale the audience with residents’ stories about the Prohibition Era.
