Open Mic Night (@ShelbyMain Plaza)

All ages of performers and attendees are welcome to join Open Mic Night on the Plaza at Shelbyville Main library, 57 W. Broadway. Sign up at Adult Services or grab a slot that night. Each slot has a 2-song maximum. Multiple slots may be available.

Performances take place at the Outdoor Plaza in the Gazebo. If it rains, the performance goes away! Open Mic Night will be cancelled if there is inclement weather.

Today we return to Balderdash! Time to grab the 'bull' by the horns and hope other players don't call your bluff! Balderdash features unbelievable-but-true content in five categories: “famous” people, words, initials, laws, and movies. Take turns being the Balderdasher!

Shadow of Redeye-Bigfoot! (@ShelbyMain Open Area)

Join producer, Mike Familant as he shares his experiences researching and tracking down the truth behind North America's most iconic cryptid, Bigfoot. Whatever name you choose to call this large, bipedal hominid, Mike and his team has probably tried to track it down. He is a full-time lead investigator and producer of the show "In the Shadow of Big Red Eye." He will exhibit some extraordinary evidence backed by facts, along with some unfortunate experiences which come from Bigfooting. A Q&A session will be held afte the presentation and Mike will be available for photos and autographs. Rated PG, this 1987 movie is the perfect lead-in to Mike Familant’s presentation on the Shadow of Redeye, his presentation on that mysterious cryptid, Bigfoot! Movie begins at 2 pm; Mike’s presentation begins at 6 pm. Don’t miss this marvelous doubleheader!

Closing Early Good Friday (All Library Locations)

All Shelby County Public Library locations will close early on Friday, March 29 at 5 pm in honor of Good Friday. This includes the Velma Wortman Morristown Branch, the main Shelbyville Branch, and Carnegie East Wing, which houses the Computer Lab, the Genealogy & History Department, and the Friends of the Library Used Book Store.

All locations will open at 9 am on Saturday, March 30.

Join in the card-playing fun as Pam organizes a game of progressive Euchre on Wednesday, March 20 at 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Players will have a new partner each game. Drinks and light snacks will be provided. There is a limit to 24 players. Sign up at the circulation desk in Adult Services in the main building of the Shelbyville Branch, 57 E. Broadway St.

Euchre Fun! meets each month on the third Wednesday. This event is always FREE!
